Carefree offers you a choice of
1 pound, 1.5 pound or 2 pound
density foam cores. The 1.5 pound density gives you
an easy to handle cover that is strong and long
lasting. The 2 pound
density is IDEAL's extreme cover that is even stronger with higher insulation qualities. It's
best suited for snow loads of up to 500 pounds.
The 2 pound foam model is denser and is less likely to absorb moisture.
Easy Spa Cover Measuring Guide.
In Colorado the sun UV rays are harsh. Carefree
recommends use 303 Protectant™ (liquid sunscreen), a
minimum of four times per year. This is especially
important in the colder months to prevent snow or
ice from sticking to the spa cover's vinyl top and the fold. 303 Protectant™
contains no petrochemicals, silicone oils or petroleum
distillates, is non-greasy and will not attract dust.
